A Historic Mountain Trail in Savoie
La 6000D, also known as "The Legend," is a long-standing mountain running event held in the Tarentaise valley of Savoie, La Plagne. With a history spanning 36 years, the event is recognized as an eco-responsible event by the Direction Départementale de la Cohésion Sociale et de la Protection des Populations.
The event offers a wide variety of race formats and distances to accommodate different levels of mountain runners:
- La 6000D: A 69 km course with 3400 m of positive elevation gain.
- La 6000D Relay: The main course completed as a 3-person team.
- La 6D Marathon: A 43 km route featuring 2100 m of elevation gain.
- La 6D Lacs: A 30 km trail with 1500 m of elevation gain.
- La 6D Crêtes: A 21 km distance with 1300 m of elevation gain.
- La 6 Découverte: An 11 km course with 600 m of elevation gain.
- La 6D Foulée: A 5 km track with 250 m of elevation gain.
- La 6D Bob: A short 1.5 km challenge with 125 m of elevation gain.
- La 6 Défi: A multi-day challenge combining the 21 km, 30 km, and 43 km races.
Specific categories are also available for younger participants, including La 6D Kid's (loops from 500 m to 2000 m) and the La 6D Aventure animations.
