About the race
The Keyesville Classic is presented as a two-day mountain event held in October 2027 at the Keyesville Recreation Area near Lake Isabella, California. The event uses an All-Mountain Stage Race (AMSR) format that combines multi-stage mountain bike competition with additional trail activities and community amenities.
The AMSR format includes multiple timed stages across the weekend. One day features a short Sprint Lap and a SuperD Downhill gravity stage, and the other day includes Classic and Lite cross-country (XC) stages. Riders competing in the AMSR combine times across stages for overall standings, while individuals may also enter single stages a la carte. Additional foot-race programming includes a 5K trail run whose proceeds are directed to charity and a free Future Champions kids race that provides ribbons and snacks.
On-site primitives camping is available and operated on a first-come, first-served basis, with overflow meadow camping and RV delivery options nearby. Local lodging options are listed for Lake Isabella and Kernville, including motels, inns, and guesthouse rentals. The weekend program also includes an awards ceremony and evening community dining available for a fee.
The event description emphasizes mixed-terrain mountain biking, multiple competitive categories, trail running, youth programming, and support for trail stewardship and local facilities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
