Karoo Poison 2026
Karoo Poison 2026 is the sixth running of a combined gravel bike and trail running event at Leeuwenboschfontein Guest Farm in the Nougaspoort area above the Koo valley, Langeberg Local Municipality, Western Cape, South Africa. The event takes place on 5 September 2026 and is organised by Koo Primary School.
Race and run options include gravel bike routes, trail runs, and a toddler run or bike/pram category. Distances and entry categories are:
- 125 km, Gravel Bike (minimum age 19)
- 99 km, Gravel Bike (minimum age 19)
- 52 km, Gravel Bike (minimum age 15)
- 28 km, Gravel Bike (minimum age 11)
- 12 km, Trailrun (minimum age 13)
- 5 km, Funrun (minimum age 7)
- 2 km, Toddler run/bike/pram (day-of registration)
The 52 km gravel route includes a small farm loop of about 14 km with roughly 2 km of sandy surface; gravel bikes can ride this section, and mountain bikes are also suitable. Event registration is held at Leeuwenboschfontein on the day before the event and on the event day. Online entries close on 1 September 2026, and late entries are accepted on the event day. Goodiebags are provided to the first 200 entries.
