About the race
The Freitagsrennen is a programme of short runs and activities held in Interlaken on 4 September 2026, focused on movement and community experience. Events take place around the Höhematte and in the town centre and include races for children, youths, and adults. Distances and categories include: - 200 m to 400 m races for the youngest age groups (U06, U07, U08) - 1 000 m and 1 mile (1 609 m) races for older youth categories (U10–U16) - Minirun team races for U07–U16 - Minimarathon (4.2195 km) around the Höhematte - Harder Run Race (4.4 km, 755 m ascent) from Interlaken to Harder Kulm - Pararace events for athletes with impairments, organised with PluSport and carried out under the principle "never walk alone" A Kids-Village at the Kursaalgarten offers an obstacle course, a bouncy castle and a play area, with activities running through the afternoon and evening. The programme includes team categories and some prize draw or award moments for youth races.
