Jay Peak Trail Running Festival, Sept 5-6 2026, Vermont USA
The Jay Peak Trail Running Festival is a two-day trail event held over Labor Day weekend with seven races offered on mountain trails around Jay Peak. Races use varied terrain and loop formats; course maps and details are available for each distance. All races start at Stateside Lodge.
The event program includes multiple short and long distances and a dedicated kids trail race that uses real trail terrain and age-appropriate courses. The longest event is a 53.1 km ultra run made of three laps, advertised with more than 9000 feet of total elevation gain and aid stations averaging about three miles apart. Other races use one or two laps around the mountain.
On-site lodging options include three different hotels and condos. Family amenities at the resort include an indoor water park, ice rink, climbing wall, arcade, movie theater and several restaurants. Registrants receive a lodging discount code as part of their confirmation.
The festival lists awards and commemorative items for some achievements, including a prize for completing all three 5k races in one day. The event is presented as a multi-distance trail weekend that accommodates youth racers and longer distance runners within the same schedule.
