IronHike Endurance Series
IronHike is a veteran-owned series of elevation-based, multi-day mountain endurance events held at Mohawk Mountain in Cornwall, Connecticut and Amicalola Falls State Park in Dawsonville, Georgia. The series includes seven events with target durations and elevations ranging from 12 hours (Kuwohi, 6,643 feet) to 84 hours (Olympus Mons, 72,000 feet). Event formats include Solo, Trail Buddy pairs, and Trail Family teams, plus a FlexRelay team option where teammates share laps.
Events run across spring and fall at Mohawk Mountain and in fall at Amicalola Falls. One format, Answer the Bell Ultra, requires one lap per hour until a participant stops; other events specify total hour limits. The series is explicitly presented as not a race: there is no podium or age-group awards and a cadre accompanies participants and rings a final bell when an event ends.
Registration includes on-mountain tenting for athletes and up to six spectators, a base area with hydration and snacks, personalized bibs and finisher tokens, ski patrol medical support on mountain, free parking and restrooms, and course information such as maps and gear lists. Capacity is limited by mountain access. The series provides training plans, coaching content, and tribe calls for pre-event preparation.
