Boudicca Way 50 km Ultra : 12 September 2026
The event is a 50 km ultramarathon that follows the established Boudicca Way long distance path from Diss to Norwich. The route is described as well marked and the running surface is generally good. The race starts at Hope Church, Vinces Road, Diss IP22 4HQ and finishes at Trowse Common, Trowse, Norwich NR14 8SZ. The start location is about 200 metres from Diss train station.
The course passes through historic South Norfolk villages including Saxlingham Nethergate and Shotesham, and through Caistor Roman Town. Caistor is noted as one of only three Roman towns in the UK that has not been built on; archaeological finds there date back to the 1st century AD. The route therefore traverses areas with significant ancient remains and local heritage.
The event is limited to 250 places. It is licensed by the Trail Runners Association and held under UK Athletics rules; a permit number is to be confirmed. Runners should expect time cut offs along the route and an overall 10 hour time limit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
