In Yan Teopa 5 & 10 Miler
The event is a trail race held at Frontenac State Park in Frontenac, Minnesota, running through park terrain above Lake Pepin. Courses move through rolling prairies, tight single-track through woods, and sustained climbs that lead to scenic viewpoints. The race is offered over two distances:
- 5 mile course
- 10 mile course
The event operates as a cupless race to reduce waste; participants are asked to carry a water bottle, container, or running vest. Water is provided at the start and finish area, and there is a mid-way aid station on the ten mile course that supplies water, fruit, and snacks.
Facilities at the park include camping sites with amenities and restrooms at the start and finish areas. Participants and volunteers are asked to park in the lot near the top of the park. Park admission applies.
If a participant does not complete the course, they should remove their bib and give it to an aid station volunteer or the race director. The race director may delay, suspend, or cancel the event for safety or severe weather concerns; refunds or transfers are not permitted under that policy. The organizing company states a commitment to building an inclusive event environment for all participants, volunteers, and community members.
