In Yan Teopa 5 & 10 Miler
The In Yan Teopa trail race takes place at Frontenac State Park in Frontenac, MN, on Saturday, September 25, 2027. The event is organized by St. Croix Running Company and uses trails within the park above Lake Pepin.
Distances offered:
- 5 miles - trail through rolling prairies and single-track woods
- 10 miles - extended trail with a midway aid station
The course includes varied terrain: rolling prairies, tight single-track through the woods, and notable climbs. Water is available at the start/finish area and at the midway aid station on the 10-mile course. The event is cupless; participants are asked to carry a water container, bottle, or running vest. Aid station provisions include water, fruit, and snacks.
Facilities and logistics: restrooms are available at the start and finish areas. Organizers ask runners and volunteers to park in the lot near the top of the park and to allow time for park admission. The park offers camping sites with amenities, and hotels are available in nearby towns from Red Wing to Lake City.
Race procedures and policies: if a participant does not finish, they should remove their bib and give it to an aid station volunteer or the race director.
