The Hybrid Heart: 5K & 10K Trail Race
The Hybrid Heart is the founding edition of a community trail race held on October 25, 2026 at Wesley Clover Parks in Ottawa. The event was created in memory of a person who died after a battle with cancer and raises funds for the Ottawa Cancer Foundation; 100% of net proceeds will be donated to that foundation. Participants may create individual fundraising pages to raise additional charitable donations.
Distances offered:
- 5K one approachable loop through Wesley Clover Parks; participants can run, walk, or try a first trail race
- 10K two laps of the same loop, allowing a steadier pace or a more competitive effort
Registration includes professional chip timing, a custom finisher medal, and complimentary race photography. A Race Village runs across the weekend with vendor and community partner activations, participant bib pickup, food and hydration, recovery experiences, prizes and giveaways, and an awards presentation.
