HURT100
HURT100 is a 100-mile trail endurance run held on trails in Hawaiʻi’s rain forest above the city of Honolulu. The event is conducted within the jurisdiction of the State of Hawai‘i Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of Forestry and Wildlife, Nā Ala Hele program. The 2027 running is scheduled for January 16–17, 2027. The application for the 2027 lottery is closed; the lottery date was August 8, 2026.
Race weekend activities listed by the organizer include a shake-out run, a pre-race briefing, bib distribution, runner tracking, and an awards banquet. Volunteers and banquet tickets are part of the event program.
Multiple map and navigation formats are provided for the course. Available formats include geo-referenced PDFs suitable for apps that show real-time GPS location offline, a GPX file offered as a single 20 mile loop for use with smartwatches, KML files for viewing the route in Google Earth, and a Google Maps view that is not recommended for offline use. The organizer recommends printing maps from the Book of HURT and notes that GPS errors in the mountains can be larger than nearby hazards. Participants are advised that geo-referenced PDFs work with common apps and can show location without cell coverage or while in airplane mode.
Additional race materials, past results, and course information are listed as part of the event resources. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
