Event Overview
The Hurricane Hundred K takes place on September 19, 2026, in Hurricane, West Virginia. This trail running event is held on the Meeks Mountain Trails and consists of 100% single-track mountain paths. The course is designed as a 10.3-mile loop, and participants must complete six laps to finish the full distance.
The race center, including the crew pit and team area, is located at the shelter in the back of the bowl at Meeks Mountain Trails. Solo runners have the opportunity to see their support crews between each lap. A firm cutoff is in place, requiring the final loop to be started within 15.5 hours of the race clock.
Distances and Categories
Participants can choose to compete as solo runners or as part of a three-person relay team.
- 100 km Solo: A 62-mile individual race consisting of six laps.
- 100 km Relay: Teams of three where each member covers approximately 20 miles.
Relay teams can be all-male, all-female, or coed. For coed teams, a female runner must complete at least two of the six laps. All handoffs between teammates must occur at the designated start and finish line.
Participant Information
Solo runners are permitted to have pacers for the final two loops of the race. All participants receive a hoodie sweatshirt, a finisher's award, and a swag bag. Solo finishers of the full distance are awarded a specialized belt buckle. The event provides equal podium spots, prize money, and female-specific amenities as a Trail Sisters approved race.
