About the race
Hurricane Hundred K is a trail running event in Hurricane, West Virginia held on September 19, 2026, on the Meeks Mountain Trails. The solo 100K is run as six laps on a 10.3 mile single-track loop, totaling approximately 62 miles. Relay teams of three also compete, with each team member running multiple laps to complete the six-loop total.
Distances:
- 100K solo on six 10.3 mile single-track loops
- 100k Relay for three person teams
The event features a race command center, crew pit, and team hangout at a shelter near the course bowl. Solo runners can meet their crew between each lap. Pacers are permitted for solo runners on the final two laps. The organizers list a firm cutoff for starting the final loop; runners who do not begin that loop by the published cutoff are recorded as did not finish for safety and volunteer well-being.
The solo 100K carries a total prize purse of $10,000 with specified payouts for the top three men and women. Relay category winners receive hand-crafted awards. All entrants receive race swag including a hoodie and a finisher award; all solo 100K finishers receive a commemorative belt buckle. Registration is limited to 150 runners and follows staged pricing tiers through September 12, 2026. A 15 percent registration discount is available for active military, veterans, first responders, and family members using the race discount code.
