Hotter N' Hell Trail Run

Hotter N' Hell Trail Run is a trail race held at Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, AL and organized by Southeastern Trail Runs. The event offers two race distances and follows trails that ascend Double Oak Mountain and descend into Peavine Gorge, with an aid station added near Peavine Falls.

Participants must enter the park through the south gate near Interstate 65. Oak Mountain State Park charges a $5 per person park entry fee. The race field for the Hotter N' Hell event is limited to 300 runners. The last day to register and be guaranteed a race shirt is July 7th and general registration closes on Wednesday, July 21 at 11:59 PM CT. Entry fees are listed in a range from USD 78.46 to USD 96.00 with multiple registration options available.

Packet pickup is available the evening before at Mountain High Outfitters at Oak Mountain Store and there is morning packet pickup at the Cedar Pavilion near the south end of Double Oak Lake. The start area is the Cedar Pavilion at Oak Mountain State Park, near the large parking lot at the end of Terrace Drive.
