Honiton Hippo

The Honiton Hippo is a multi-terrain running event held around Honiton County Primary School. The main race covers roughly seven miles of muddy trails and includes hills and two river crossings. The course is varied and runs on trails, woods and fields.

There are three race options with minimum age limits for each. Toilets are available at the venue but there is no parking on site; separate town parking options are provided. Results and race photos are published after the event and an elevation profile is available for the main course.

Per participant awards and mementoes are given. All entrants in the shorter races receive a finisher medal and the event also offers prizes and mementoes for participants.

Recent or scheduled dates mentioned for the event include 21st September 2025 and 13th September 2026. The event is organised by Honiton Running Club and relies on marshals and volunteers to manage the course and facilities.
