Holcombe Two Towers Fell Race

The event is a steep fell race across and around Holcombe Moor featuring numerous climbs and varied terrain. It is scheduled for Wednesday 25 August 2027 and is based at the Hare & Hounds pub, 400 Bolton Road West, Bury BL0 9RY. The course distance is 6.5 km / 4 miles with 400 m of ascent.

The race starts about 500 m from the Hare & Hounds. Competitors follow Holcombe Old Road and continue through Redisher Woods, staying on the main track; the start line is shortly after a steep descent on the main track. The route is well flagged but competitors are responsible for following the route and for their own safety.

Runners must register with FRA full kit; organisers will decide on the evening what, if anything, must be carried. There is fading daylight toward the finish through Redisher Woods, so slower runners may need a headtorch. A cut-off time of one hour and fifteen minutes applies when returning to Moorbottom Road for the second time; runners inside that cut-off will still be given a time after the last finisher within the cut-off.

On-the-day entry is available with fees listed for FRA members and non-members. Organisers request car sharing where possible. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
