Heron Trot Family Run/Walk
Heron Trot Family Run/Walk is a family-friendly fun run held on October 31 at Big Lagoon State Park. The event is organized by Friends of Pensacola State Parks and takes place on park trails, where participants may run or walk. Because the date falls on Halloween, participants are invited to wear costumes.
The event includes prizes, snacks and race T-shirts. Late registration is available on the day of the event. Tickets are sold through Eventbrite until October 30, and registering by October 15 guarantees a T-shirt. Previous editions have been presented as a 5 km run/walk, and a prior year noted free entry for children 12 and under (no T-shirt for free participants).
