Hell & Back Family 7KM

Hell & Back Family is a family obstacle course event on Saturday 5 September 2026 at Killruddery Estate, Bray, Co Wicklow. The course is described as approximately 7KM with more than 80 obstacles and includes a new eight lane Land Slide feature.

The route passes through Splash Zone, a lakeside section that includes Pontoon Mania, Water Jump and the Splashdown Slide. When participants enter the lake area they are fitted with buoyancy aids and lifeguards patrol from kayaks and the shore. Alternative routes are available for participants who prefer to avoid water obstacles.

Children who are 10 years old on 5 September 2026 may take part when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Where an obstacle is unsuitable for a child, adults may bypass the obstacle and continue to the next element.

Event services and logistics include on-site or nearby parking (prepaid and on-the-day options) and an Event Village with food and drink outlets. A mandatory personal accident insurance fee is included in the registration price and a finisher’s T-shirt is provided at the finish. Timing chips are not used for this challenge style event. Spectator entry is free and Splash Zone is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the Event Village. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
