About the race
Helderberg Farm Orienteering is an orienteering event held at Helderberg Farm in Raithby, Somerset West, Western Cape. The event uses a 1:4000 map with 2.5 m contours and takes place across an urban farm with areas of forest, some thick undergrowth, and a network of tracks and paths.
Courses offered:
- Short / Family: 2.5 km
- Middle: 3.2 km
- Long / Technical: 4.0 km
Entry categories include Club Member, Non-Member, and Junior Club Member / Scout. Entry fees per individual are R120 for club members, R160 for non-members, and R100 for juniors/scouts; group fees are also available. The entry price includes access to the farm and a complimentary boerewors roll. Participants are encouraged to bring a picnic mat to use on the farm.
This is a pre-entry only event; pre-entries close on Thursday 15 October at midnight. Registration takes place at Helderberg Farm on the day of the event.
