About the race
Havasu on the Rocks Trail Run in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, offers multiple trail events that follow single-track and old mining road trails and reach the shoreline at Pilot Rock and Lake Havasu.
Distances include:
- 13.2 Miles, Pilot Rock Half Marathon
- 13K, Pilot Rock 13k
- 7K, Jaegers Run 7k
- 1K, Kids Spring Sprint
The half and 13k courses feature modest elevation changes, stretches of fast single track, and sections of old mining road that lead to Pilot Rock Lighthouse and beach aid stations. The 7k is a scenic loop of single track and old mining roads; it is dedicated in memory of a young runner who died unexpectedly, and proceeds from that race will be donated to a charity to be decided by the organizers and the runner’s family. The kids 1K is a short dirt dash; parents must accompany children under six.
The half and 13k are subject to a four hour time limit and are not intended to be hike events. The event enforces a strict no pets policy; no leashed or unleashed animals are permitted in vendor, race corral areas, or with participants wearing race bibs. Race swag purchases and donations support Forged Outdoors, a firefighter peer driven nonprofit addressing firefighter mental health and resiliency.
