Haunted Massacre Rocks Run
The Haunted Massacre Rocks Run is held at Massacre Rocks State Park along the Snake River in American Falls, Idaho. The course is an out-and-back route that follows part of the river and starts and ends at the park visitor center. The surface is a mix of road, sand, and gravel, and the route includes hills. Parking is available at the boat launch, the visitor center, and by the river.
The park includes hiking trails, rock climbing routes, a disc golf course, and historic features such as Register Rock with emigrant names and visible remnants of the Oregon Trail and the Bonneville flood. The event page notes there are four cabins and forty-two campsites available for rent at the park.
Costumes are encouraged and prizes are awarded for the three best costumes. Registration fees vary by date: early registration is $25 with a deadline of October 19 and guarantees a shirt; main registration is $35 until October 23 at 6:00 pm; late registration on race morning is $40. Shirts will be mailed after the event. All proceeds from the event go to Rockland High School XC. Past editions are listed for 2024 and 2025.
