Haunted Historical Run, Midlothian, IL
The Haunted Historical Run is scheduled for October 3, 2026, at Midlothian Meadows near W Midlothian Turnpike and W 143rd St, west of S Ridgeland Ave. Participants meet at Rubio Woods, off Midlothian Turnpike near Ridgeland, and take part in a run or walk through a forested area described as "haunted."
The field route includes a run or walk of 2 to 3 miles through the forest followed by a hike to Bachelors Grove cemetery. The event features an interpretive component about local legends at the cemetery and concludes with a gathering at the Blarney Stone in Oak Forest where a free beer and raffle prizes are provided.
The entry fee is $40, with an early price of $30 available until September 15. The fee includes a long sleeve shirt, the run and tour, and access to the post-event beer and raffle. The event capacity is limited to 50 participants.
