Haunted Hills 6.66K Bike and Run
The event is a fall trail competition hosted by Colorado Mountain College Cross Country and Track at 901 U.S. 24, Leadville, CO. Races take place on the CMC Leadville Trails and use a start and finish at the southeast corner of the campus multi-purpose field. Proceeds benefit the CMC cross country and track teams.
Participants can choose from several distances and entry options:
- 6.66K Mountain Bike, $20
- 6.66K Trail Run, $20
- Both races (13.32K total), $35
- 1.5K Kids' Trail Run, $10
The 6.66K course is two loops along mountainous trails with dirt, mud, rocks, roots, and possible snow. The event includes a costume contest; the kids 1.5K is described as not scary. Bikers are required to wear helmets. Free parking is available. Registration and check-in are offered before the races, and refunds are allowed up to seven days before the event.
