Harriman Ultra Trail Runs
Harriman Ultra Trail Runs takes place August 14, 2027 in Island Park, ID. The event offers multiple distances and uses a 25K main loop as its course base.
- 50K two laps of the 25K course
- 25K single lap of the main course
- 10K follows the Silver Lake Trail after two-track access
- 1K kid's run on the gravel loop at Railroad Ranch
The course runs through forest and meadows on gravel, two-tracks and pine-needle single track, with views of the Teton Mountains and the local valley. The 25K loop is used for all distances; the 50K is two loops. The route has a clover leaf shape, directional arrows and mileage signs, and updated GPX files will be provided for 2027.
There is one on-course aid station accessed multiple times plus a start/finish station. Aid station food includes cookies, chips, soda, candy, pickles, water and sports drink. The event is cupless and requires participants to bring their own drinking vessel. Lunch for registered runners is included; extra meals are available for guests. The Start/Finish area is the east lawn of The Boys House, which serves as the post-race dining and drop bag location.
No camping is available inside the park; yurts and park buildings can be rented. Forest service campgrounds and nightly rentals are available nearby. Standard trail etiquette applies. Dogs are not allowed in the park except in parking areas. Refunds are available only if the race is full and there is a wait list, and only up to about 30 days before the race.
