Hardmoors 26.2 Farndale Trail Races
Hardmoors 26.2 Farndale is a trail race meeting held in Hutton Le Hole, North York Moors, with the event base at Hutton Le Hole Village Hall, YO62 6UA. The event is limited to 330 entrants and offers downloadable maps and GPX files; competitors must print and carry a route description and map because the courses are not taped or signed and participants are responsible for navigation.
Distances offered:
- 29 miles 4200 ft ascent 9 hour limit
- 16.5 miles 2300 ft ascent 6 hour limit
- 8.3 miles 1130 ft ascent 4 hour limit
Entry fees start from £31 with specific prices for each distance. Entries open in September 2026 for voucher holders and general entries on later dates, and entries close on Friday 23 July 2027. Parking is provided in a marshalled field in Hutton Le Hole for a day fee of £4; parking on the main road or side streets is not permitted. Camper van and motorhome parking is available in the car park for a per unit nightly charge, includes fresh water and elsan disposal, and requires prebooking; portable toilets will be provided but there are no shower facilities.
Mandatory kit must be carried for the duration of the event and will be checked at registration. Required items include a printed route description and map, waterproof jacket with taped seams, hat and gloves, capacity to carry 500 ml fluid, survival bag, foil blanket, and a means to attach the race bib. The event is cupless; competitors should bring a cup for checkpoint drinks and for the finish. Dogs are not allowed.
