Harbour Wallbanger
Harbour Wallbanger is a beach road race on 20 September 2026 organised by Sporting Events UK in partnership with Thanet Roadrunners AC. The route starts on the beach at Broadstairs at low tide, runs to Ramsgate where runners "bang the Harbour Wall," then returns to Broadstairs.
The advertised race distance is 7k. Entry fees for advanced entries are £24 for affiliated club members and £26 for unaffiliated runners; on-the-day entry is £30 subject to available space. Advanced entries are accepted until 1pm on the Wednesday before the event. On-the-day entries may be available subject to space until 11:30am on the day.
There are individual prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers and age-category prizes for male and female VET40, VET50 and VET60. A first place male team and first place female team prize are also listed; teams require three people and entries are open to clubs or informal groups. The minimum age under UK Athletics rules is 15 years on the day.
Venue facilities include toilets but no changing rooms, a car park payable locally and full refreshments on site. Organisers provide a live feed for results so finish times appear live.
