About the race
Hamilton Gardens Trail in Hamilton takes place within Hamilton Gardens beside the Waikato River. The start and finish are inside the gardens and the course weaves through the manicured garden areas before following undulating river banks lined with native bush. The track surface is fully paved.
The event offers multiple course lengths with listed elevation gain for each:
- 6 km short course : elevation gain 93 m.
- 12.3 km mid course : elevation gain 130 m.
- 16.5 km long course : elevation gain 231 m.
Parking is limited in the gardens on weekends; Grey Street is recommended for parking with an easy underpass to the venue. Access to the event venue is via Gate Two, which has some parking near the Camellia Garden. The event names Camp Quality as its official charity.
Registration fees are published and include a NZ$3 platform service fee. Price categories are shown for adults, children (5–12 years), family passes, and an under‑5 category that is free.
