Halloween Spooky 5km

This event is a night trail run of 5 km through Glensheskin Woods near Kilworth in County Cork. The course is on forest trails, is fully marked, and includes about 100 m of climb. GPS devices are not permitted. The event difficulty is listed as 6 (2,2,2) and the terrain is described as moderate.

A mandatory Level B kit list applies and all runners must bring the required items. Failure to carry the required items may result in denied entry or disqualification; random kit checks may be carried out.

The meeting point is Glensheskin Woods, Kilworth. From the square in the centre of the village, follow yellow Avondhu way-markers and the sign for Ballyporeen (15 km). After about 1 km, turn left into Glensheskin Wood and walk over the bridge into the carpark. Organisers note that parking is limited and advise carpooling because of potential traffic backlog.
