About the race
The Halloween Night Run takes place at Prison Break Market in Midrand, Gauteng. The event is sponsored by Stellantis and organised by The Leverage Corporation. It is held after dark on market trails and participants are asked to bring a torch or headlamp.
There are three distance options:
- 3 km Trick or Treat Run for children and families, with a trick-or-treat bag and 2–3 treat tables along the route.
- 5 km Halloween Night Run.
- 10 km Halloween Night Run.
Children under 6 enter free. Dogs and prams are permitted on the course. Costumes are encouraged and the organiser plans to award prizes such as vouchers, Halloween hampers, treats and other surprises. The event supports Kids Haven and entrants are invited to consider making a donation to that charity when entering.
