Event Overview
The Halloween Havoc Half Marathon is a trail running event held at Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, Alabama. Organized by Zombie Trail Races, the event features a night race format set on a multi-terrain course. Participants navigate a mix of single-track trails, jeep roads, and various elevations within the park.
Available distances include:
- 13 miles
- 6 miles
Both distances are designed as loop courses. For the 13-mile distance, runners have access to one full aid station located at the halfway point. Participants in the 6-mile race can access a water stop at the halfway mark. Due to the nature of the night race, all participants are required to carry hydration and use a headlamp for visibility.
Participant Information
The event includes post-race activities such as music and refreshments, including pizza. All finishers receive a custom race pint glass and a race shirt. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in both the 13-mile and 6-mile categories. Additionally, awards are given for the three best costumes, as costumes are encouraged for all participants. The event features generous cut-off times to accommodate both runners and hikers.
