Great Appalachian Valley Race: Half Marathon, 10K & 5K
The event offers multiple race distances on a rail trail in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, with the start and finish at Shippensburg Township Park (304 Britton Rd). The course is an out and back on a flat, scenic trail with clearly marked turnarounds and aid stations every 2 miles. Water and Gatorade are provided at stations, and participants are encouraged to carry their own hydration and fuel. Runners are asked to place discarded items in or near provided garbage cans after aid stations or carry them to the next station.

Amenities include a medal and lanyard, a T-shirt, running ankle socks, post-race food and drink, live/text/email results, free finish line photos, and same-day finish line video. There will not be a formal awards ceremony; awards may be picked up soon after finishing. Awards include Top 1 M/F/X overall and Top 3 M/F/X in age groups 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 plus.
Pre-race packet pickup is available at the event start/finish area the day before; packet pickup is also available on race morning through event staff. If registrants sign up within 24 hours of bib pickup they will be texted their bib number quickly. Registration is not yet open and an option to receive a notification when it opens is provided.
