About the race
The Grande Trail da Serra D'Arga is a multi-distance trail running event organised by Carlos Sá Nature Events with collaboration from the municipal councils of Caminha and Viana do Castelo and several local parishes. It takes place across Viana do Castelo and the parish of Dem, with additional activities in Montaria and other nearby localities during the same weekend in October 2026.
Race options include a range of trail distances and a walking route. Aid and course information such as altimetry maps and past results are published by the organiser. Awards ceremonies and cultural activities, including local folklore performances, are scheduled during the event weekend. Participants are expected to travel to the start locations independently; limited transfers were offered previously for specific races.
