Gran Trail dell'Etna
The Gran Trail dell'Etna takes place on 22 November 2026 around Mount Etna, described as the highest active volcano in Europe. The event includes trail running on volcanic and forested terrain and a non-competitive walk on a marked route.
Terrain and route features include Mediterranean maquis, extensive lava flows with lunar-like landscapes, and extinct volcanic cones along the course of the main trail. One race runs mostly through woodland while allowing distant views of the summit crater.

- 42K Gran Trail dell'Etna on mixed volcanic and forest trails.
- 18K Trail della Galvarina, mainly through forest with views of the summit crater.
- 18K / 8K Walktrail, a non-competitive walk on the Trail della Galvarina route with assistance provided.
The 18K trail is presented as accessible to all and as a stepping stone for future participation in the 42K event. The Walktrail follows the same marked route as the 18K and is organized to provide assistance and an engaging experience on Mount Etna.
