Grahamtastic Connection 5K Run and Walk
The event is a 5K run and walk held on October 18, 2026 at the Nasson Community Center (Nasson Gym), 457 Main Street, Springvale, ME 04083. It is organized to support a nonprofit that provides free technology to children with cancer and other serious illnesses to help their education, social connections, and emotional well being.
The course is an out and back route that begins at Bradeen Street and finishes at the Nasson Community Center. It runs partially on road and mostly along a well groomed rail trail section of the Mousam Way, with a turnaround at Deering Pond. Participants will pass through fall foliage along the trail.
Registration fees vary by age: adults 18 and over are $20 in advance and $25 on race day, teens 13 to 17 are $15, children 6 to 12 are $10, and children under 5 are free when accompanying a paying adult. Registration opens July 30, 2026 and closes October 17, 2026. Free t shirts are provided to donors who give $250 or more; remaining t shirts will be available for purchase on race day.
Awards include a special prize for the fastest female, male, and dog, with medals for first and second female and male finishers in each age category. A team that raises the most pledges wins a pizza party. A barbecue follows the event, donated by Patco Construction. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
