Gorge après Gorge
Gorge après Gorge is an annual run and walk held at Chesterfield Gorge Reservation on River Road in Chesterfield, MA. The event offers a trail run and a family fun walk along the Westfield River and includes distinctive finish items: hand-knit and hand-crocheted hats for top runners and locally baked cookie medals for finishers. Participants may enjoy complementary hot beverages after the event and a community potluck; reusable mugs are encouraged and some hot coffee is provided by a local partner. Organizers note that dogs should be left at home.
The event has run since 2005 and has grown from a few dozen participants to more than 200 people in recent years. Hilltown Land Trust has cosponsored the event since 2015 and registration proceeds support the trust.
