Full Moon 25k/50k
The Full Moon 25k/50k serves as the kickoff event for the AURA Ultra Trail Series season. Held at Camp Ouachita Girl Scout Camp within the Ouachita National Forest in Perryville, Arkansas, the event takes place overnight. Participants navigate a course consisting of rolling Forest Service Roads characterized by hills and humid conditions.
The event offers two primary distances:
- 50 km (31.07 miles)
- 25 km (15.53 miles)
The race features fully stocked aid stations and a community atmosphere with supporters along the route. Following the completion of the distances, a post-race meal including pancakes and bacon is provided for participants. Packet pickup is organized at the race site prior to the start of each distance.
Proceeds from the event support several organizations, including the Arkansas Crisis Center in memory of Logan Wilcoxson and the Arkansas Ultra Running Cross Country Fund, which assists a different high school cross country team annually.
