About the race
Frozen Nuts is a trail race held on January 9, 2027 at Pulaski County Park on the banks of Lake Cumberland in Nancy, KY. Trails are described as well kept and well marked, with rolling hills and varied terrain. Each entry includes passage up a noted finisher hill.
The event offers the following courses:
- 5K 5.27 km (3.28 mi), 321 ft elevation gain
- 10K 10.6 km (6.59 mi), 593 ft elevation gain
- Half 21.21 km (13.18 mi), 1189 ft elevation gain, two laps
Check-in and bib pickup are organized at park shelters 1 and 2. Bathrooms will be on site. Participants receive a race guide the week of the event with additional information. The event is bring your own food and hydration; organizers will provide some water on site but there is no water on course. Gear requirements note that runners must carry hydration and fuel.
Awards include finisher medals for all events and top three overall in each race. Registration uses tiered pricing and is subject to event platform fees and applicable sales tax. Course distances and elevation profiles are derived from CalTopo mapping data, may vary from GPS recordings, and the course may be changed for safety or trail conditions.
