About the race
The Frosty Feline 5K is a fundraiser for Blessing Paws, the cat rescue division of Blessing Birds, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The event occurs on December 12, 2026 at Broughton Nature and Wildlife Park, 619 SR-821, Marietta, OH 45750.
Distances include:
- 3.1 Miles trail run
- 3.1 Miles trail walk
- 1 Mile fun run/walk on a paved path
Registration and packet pickup begin at noon in the Chestnut Room on race day. Registration fees are $35 plus processing for the 5K events and $25 plus processing for the 1 Mile event. Register by midnight on December 3 to receive a complimentary T-Shirt.
The 5K is a marked trail course with volunteers stationed along the route. Trail shoes are strongly recommended and participants should expect variable December trail conditions and possible precipitation. Awards for the 5K include Overall Top 3 Male and Female and Top 3 in each five year age group for Male and Female. The 1 Mile fun run/walk follows a paved path by the shelter, welcomes pets when they are leashed or in strollers, and provides a finisher award to all participants.
Blessing Paws rescues, fosters, and rehomes cats and kittens. Each animal receives veterinary care such as flea treatments, deworming, vaccinations, and spay or neuter services. The program depends on foster homes, community volunteers, and public donations to fund medical treatments, surgeries, and daily care. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
