Frightening 5er
Frightening 5er is a themed nighttime trail running event at FortWhyte Alive in Winnipeg on October 29, 2026. The event is a 5K held on FortWhyte Alive trails with after-dark themed elements described as haunted and containing surprises along the course.
Participants receive a limited-edition sweatshirt, a custom race bib, a finishers' medal, a post-race treat, and a free beer or beverage. Post-race food and beverage are included with registration. Race packages are available for pick-up at Big Sky Run Co., 194 Tache Ave on Tuesday, October 27 from 4-7pm and Wednesday, October 28 from 4-7pm.
The event uses multiple start waves; all waves are listed as sold out and capacity is limited. Only registered participants may attend on event night. All participants must be 18 years or older, and pets are not permitted on the trails. The listed registration fee for waves is CA$78.27.
