Freight Train 200
Freight Train 200 is a multi-day ultrarunning event organized by SIGMAWOLF, held December 3–6, 2026. The route follows the historic Northeast Texas Trail from Wolfe City to Farmersville, Texas, and the organizer presents this as the first official 200-mile footrace in the state.
The event fields run on the same course and include:
- 200 Miles
- 100 Miles
- 50 Miles
- 25 Miles
Starts are staggered by distance and the 200-mile course has a 72-hour maximum time limit. The event uses manual checkpoint logs backed by continuous video recording at the timing arch for official timing and verification.
Pacer rules are distance-specific: pacers are permitted for the 200-mile field after Mile 50, and for the 100-mile field after Mile 25. No pacers are allowed in the 50-mile or 25-mile fields.
The course is described as flat and runnable. The route begins at Tom Ellis White Campground in Wolfe City and finishes at the Farmersville Onion Shed. The organizer coordinates with local school organizations and community groups and highlights local dining and shops in Wolfe City and Farmersville. Registration closes December 1, 2026.
