Fred Torres Memorial 5K
The 13th annual Fred Torres Memorial 5K takes place on October 11, 2026, at Garrett Mountain in Woodland Park, New Jersey. The event supports the Fred Torres Memorial Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to Clifton High School cross country and track and field scholar athletes and also funds educational and sports-related programs.

- 2 Mile Walk
- Virtual 5K
- Tot Trot
The 5K Run and 2 Mile Walk are held on a championship cross country course. The 5K is chip timed; the 2 Mile Walk is not timed. A post-race gathering is planned at Danaher's Pub, 31 Passaic Avenue, Fairfield, NJ. Registered runners are guaranteed T-shirts.
Registration fees for the 5K Run and 2 Mile Walk are listed as $30 through September 5 and $35 after that date. The virtual 5K has a registration fee of $30 and the Tot Trot a fee of $10. Students age 18 and under receive a $5 discount.
Awards include top three male and female overall finishers, top male and female Clifton High School XC/T&F alumni, and top three male and female age-group finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
