About the race
The Forkland Festival Fox and Hound 5K is a trail race held on 10/10/2026 in Gravel Switch, Kentucky, at 16479 Forkland Rd. The event distance is 5K, run on hilly terrain through the Forkland Community.
The course begins with a quarter-mile climb, continues through open meadows and wooded trails, and finishes with a downhill stretch to the finish area. Runners should expect the trail course to be slower than a flat road course. Both runners and walkers may use the course.

Registration includes a ticket to the Forkland Festival pancake breakfast and a T-shirt. Registrants who register by October 1, 2026 are guaranteed a 2026 T-shirt; vintage T-shirts will also be available.
Awards include unique handmade prizes presented during the pancake breakfast at the shelter behind the Community Center. For 2026, awards have been added for the 70 plus age group. The Forkland Festival features crafts, music, and community activities on the same day as the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
