Floors Castle, Kelso 10k
The event is a 10 km running race taking place on 12 July 2026 entirely within the grounds of Floors Castle in Kelso. The course is a mixture of road and trail with some uneven sections; there may be loose stones or broken patches in places and the ground can become soft and slippy after heavy rain.
Race numbers are issued at registration, which is located at Floors Castle on Roxburgh Street at the Terrace Cafe to the right of the main castle. Changing and toilet facilities are available. Bags may be left in tents on the day at the owner’s risk.
A water station is positioned just before the 5 km marker and water is available at the finish. Refreshments are provided after the race in Floors Castle courtyard on production of the race number; non runners may purchase refreshments.
Medals and a goodie bag are awarded to all finishers. The event runs alongside Kelso Civic Week, which takes place from 11 to 19 July and includes a family day in Shedden Park. The race has a time limit of 1 hour 45 minutes after which the course may be dismantled. Refunds are not available. The course is not suitable for runners pushing buggies or pushchairs and is not suitable for runners with dogs. The wearing of headphones is not permitted.
