About the race
Fjällmaraton 100K is a long mountain trail race of 100 km with approximately 3300 m of elevation gain. The race is scheduled for 2027-08-05 and runs between the villages Fångåmon and Ottsjö in the Årefjällen area. The route leads from Fångåmon via Nulltjärn to Vålådalen, follows the Fjällmaraton trail over Ottfjället and continues over Hållfjället, Grofjället and Välliste before finishing in Ottsjö.
Participants must be self-sufficient between official aid stations; runners are expected to carry their own fluids or refill in watercourses. Personal aid is allowed only at the official stations, not along the course. The event provides sport drink (U Sport citron) and gluten free bars (U bar) from Umara at the stations.
Aid stations and approximate locations:
Vålådalen at 22 km offers water, sport drink, bars and bananas.
Nordbottnen at 38 km offers water, sport drink, bars, bananas, pastries, coffee and bouillon.
Ottsjö at 51.5 km serves as a drop bag point with water, sport drink, bars, bananas, vegetarian vegetable soup, pastries, coffee and bouillon.
Tobaksdalen 65 km, Edsåsdalen 77.5 km, Skavhugget 82.5 km and Ytterstvallen 92.5 km provide water, sport drink and food items. The finish offers simple food.
A Recovery Zone near the finish includes sauna facilities and space to rest, and an alcohol free beer is available from Mineral Brewing. The same day features the Vivobarefoot 7K in the afternoon. Runners who finish within 20 hours qualify for a lottery selection to Western States. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
