Five Rivers Ultra

Five Rivers Ultra is a point-to-point ultramarathon in East Anglia that follows coastal paths through the Dedham Vale and Suffolk Coast & Heaths Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and on sections of the King Charles III England Coast Path. The route is described as flat and fast, with estuary views for much of the distance and more than 85% of the course on grass or dirt trail; typical underfoot conditions are good.

The event offers multiple distance options with generous cut-offs and GPX downloads for self-navigation. Routes are signposted in places and follow named footpaths. On-course services include ten manned, fully stocked aid stations supplying Tailwind and toilets, indoor checkpoints with hot drinks and food, and tracking via Open Tracking. Finish-area amenities in Harwich include a rest area with bunk beds and hot food, a tech t-shirt for finishers, and a unique finisher's memento.

Support options vary by distance: the 100 mile entry includes two drop bags and limited hostel beds the night before, all distances receive a finish drop bag, and there are optional buses from the finish to start locations for selected distances. The event is held under the Trail Running Association and England Athletics licensing and is listed as UTMB index events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
