About the race
The Fire Tower Trail Races take place on October 2nd, 2027, at St. Croix State Park and along the Kettle River valley in Minnesota. The event is presented as a small, old-school style trail race set inside Minnesota’s largest state park and on scenic river and prairie terrain.
The organizer lists a flat course, generous cutoffs, food, camping, and a welcoming atmosphere. The event offers multiple distances, and facilities at Race HQ include camping. Registration is noted as coming in March 2027.

- 35K
- 11K
Runners choosing the 50K or longer ascend to the top of a historic fire tower during the run; the 100K includes this climb twice. A "vertigo option" is available for participants who cannot climb the tower all the way. Results, photos, and race reports from previous years are maintained by the organizers.
