About the race
Fight The Couch at Northgate Trails is a trail running event scheduled for June 5, 2027, at Northgate Trails, located about ten minutes south of Dauphin, Manitoba on the northern slope of Riding Mountain National Park. The venue is a 26 km system of stacked loop multi-use trails with sections used for mountain biking, hiking, and trail running, and includes areas that overlook the North Escarpment.

The program includes a family-friendly 5 km walk/run and an 8 km loop described as more challenging. Multiple loop options allow for longer distances of 16 km and 24 km using combinations of the trail system.
Registration opens November 1, 2026. Pricing is tiered by date: Early Bird, Late Bird starting March 1, and Procrastinator starting May 1. Fees before taxes and service charges are listed as follows: Early Bird 5 km $55, 8 km $85, 16 km $100, 24 km $115; Late Bird 5 km $75, 8 km $105, 16 km $120, 24 km $135; Procrastinator 5 km $95, 8 km $125, 16 km $140, 24 km $155.
