About the race
Fight The Couch at Northgate Trails takes place on June 5th, 2027 at Northgate Trails, located about ten minutes south of Dauphin, Manitoba on the northern slope of Riding Mountain National Park. The trail system at Northgate is a 26 km stacked-loop network of multi-use trails with sections used for mountain biking, hiking, trail running, and areas for gathering and viewing the North Escarpment.
The event offers multiple distance categories and route options:
- 5 km family-friendly walk or run
- 8 km single loop for runners
- 16 km longer loop option
- 24 km extended distance on the trail system
Registration opens on September 1st, 2026. Pricing is tiered by date:
- Early Bird: 5 km $55, 8 km $85, 16 km $100, 24 km $115
- Late Bird starting March 1st: 5 km $75, 8 km $105, 16 km $120, 24 km $135
- Procrastinator starting May 1st: 5 km $95, 8 km $125, 16 km $140, 24 km $155
