About the race
Fight For Air Climb - Orlando is a stair-climbing fundraiser organized by the American Lung Association, scheduled for March 6, 2027 at City National Bank Tower in Orlando, Florida. The event uses the building stairs for a climb from the ground floor to the top, a total of 512 steps.
The event combines individual climbers, teams, companies, and a Firefighter Challenge to raise funds for lung health. Current event totals list funds raised, number of donations, participants, teams, and companies, and a fundraising goal for the event. A national corporate team sponsor is listed, and the DonorDrive app is used to support participant fundraising with tools such as QR code creation and progress tracking.
On event day there are opening ceremonies for the standard climb and separate ceremonies for firefighters and law enforcement. Awards will recognize top participants and teams; award details and pickup information will be provided closer to the event.
Participant safety and logistics are addressed. Water stations are placed throughout the building and within the stairwell; water bottles must be sealed or empty when entering the stairwell. Trained medical personnel and volunteers will be available around the venue. Climbers must be at least 10 years old; those under 18 must climb with an adult and may not be left alone. Passing inside the stairwell should be done on the left. Child-toting is not allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
