Bieszczady Running Festival
Festiwal Biegu Rzeźnika is a multi-day mountain sports event held in the Bieszczady Mountains, primarily centered in the town of Cisna. The event features a diverse range of competitions, including trail runs of varying lengths, hiking events, and activities for children.
The festival offers a wide selection of distances and formats to accommodate different athletic preferences:
- Rzeźnicka Piątka: A 5 km run.
- Dycha Na Jeleni Skok: A 12 km run.
- Rzeźnicki Marsz: A 16 km walking event starting in Solinka.
- Rzeźniczek: A 28 km run starting from Żubracze.
- Maraton Rzeźnika: A 52 km mountain marathon.
- Bieg Rzeźnika: An 80 km distance, with a 106 km Hardcore variant.
- Rzeźnik Ultra: A 95 km or 102 km ultra-marathon.
- Rzeźnicki Szlem: A combined challenge covering a total of 175 km.
- Rzeźnik 500: A multi-day stage race or hike along the Main Beskid Trail (GSB).
The Bieszczady Forest Railway is utilized to transport participants to specific starting points, such as Solinka and Żubracze, where independent access is not permitted. In addition to competitive running, the festival includes the Bieszczadzki Rajd Pieszy, a hiking event with extended time limits and organized refreshment points.
