About the race
The Fausett Farms Sunflower 5K and Fun Run takes place on October 10, 2026, at Fausett Farms Sunflowers in the foothills of Dawson County, Dawsonville, GA. The event offers two distance options:
- 5K through sunflower fields with varied terrain.
- 1 Mile fun run through and around the sunflowers.
The course runs entirely in sunflower fields, includes some uneven terrain, and features one climb at the halfway point of the 5K. The organizer notes that sunflowers are not guaranteed; the event will proceed regardless. Over a million sunflowers are planned across 30+ acres during the season.
All registered participants receive continental style breakfast snacks and coffee, an event t-shirt, a finisher gift on completion, and a Chick-fil-A biscuit after the run. The event is open to runners and walkers; leashed pets may be on the property but may not participate in the run itself. There is an additional $5 per person fee on the day of the event to enter Fausett Farms.
Registration is handled through UltraSignUp, with listed prices from USD 38.50 to USD 48.50. A price increase takes effect on October 1, and the final day to register is October 7; there are no day-of registrations.
