About the race
The Fausett Farms Sunflower 5K and Fun Run takes place October 10, 2026, in Dawsonville, GA, at Fausett Farms Sunflowers in the foothills of Dawson County.
Distances:
- 5K
- 1 Miler Fun Run
The entire course runs through sunflower fields with some uneven terrain. The 5K includes one climb at the halfway point. Over half a million sunflowers will be planted across 30+ acres, but sunflowers are not guaranteed; the event will proceed rain or shine.
All registered participants receive continental style breakfast snacks and coffee, an event t-shirt, a finisher gift upon completion, and a Chick-fil-A biscuit after the run. Packet pickup takes place the morning of the event in a drive-thru before parking.
Leashed pets are allowed on the property but may not participate in the run itself. There is an additional $5 per person fee on the day of the event to enter Fausett Farms. Note a price increase on October 1 and that the last day to register is Wednesday, October 7 at midnight; no day-of registrations are available.
The event is presented by the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Fausett Farms Sunflowers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
