Faster For Foster Trail Run
The event is a trail race held at Preservation Park in Thompson's Station, Tennessee, organized to benefit New To You, Inc., a local 501(c)(3) that supports foster children in middle Tennessee. One hundred percent of proceeds will go to programs that provide clothing, diapers, personal items, furniture, and tuition for trade school to local foster children. Foster children and foster families may register without charge.
Races take place on marked trails at the park. The course uses orange or pink flags on the ground for navigation; clustered flags indicate turns or confusing sections. The route includes a short out-and-back and a looped layout, with a water stop and bib check near mile 1.5. The first approximately two miles are grass or gravel jeep road with wide trails. The middle section follows the Depot Trail and becomes narrow, technical singletrack with rocks and roots. The finish follows a downhill section toward the pavilion.
The event is dog friendly; dogs must be on leash and participants should keep them from obstructing other runners. Walkers and hikers are welcome. Awards include monetary prizes for 1st through 3rd overall female and male finishers and 1st place K9, plus first-place age group awards across multiple age divisions.
