About the race
Farm Challenge MTB & Trail Run takes place at Hazeldean Valley Trails in Pretoria and offers trail running, mountain biking and horse classes across multiple distances. The event starts at the Cowhouse on Hazeldean farm and uses well designed trails intended for a wide range of participants.
Available disciplines and distances include:
- Trail Run: 5 km, 15 km, 30 km
- MTB: 15 km, 30 km, 60 km
- Horse: 15 km, 30 km
Entry fees vary by class. There is a R30 surcharge for entries on the day payable by cash or credit card. Water and nutrition support is provided with waterpoints placed on the courses; 30 km routes include three waterpoints and two water krippes plus a dam, while 15 km routes have two waterpoints. The route is well marked and finishers receive a medal. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers. Results are published instantly via BoutTime to phones, the event website and electronic boards at the finish.
